There are two supported methods for printing when using Booth.Events on a Mac Mini:
Option 1: AirPrint (Foreground Only)
Booth.Events supports native AirPrint on macOS with the following limitation:
The Booth.Events app must remain open and in the foreground for print jobs to be processed.
Background printing is not supported due to macOS system restrictions.
โ ๏ธ This method is best for attended setups where the app can remain active on-screen.
Option 2: Print.Events App for Windows (Recommended)
For background printing and full kiosk mode compatibility, we recommend using the Print.Events app on a separate Windows machine.
With this setup:
The Mac Mini sends print jobs wirelessly to the Windows computer.
The Windows machine handles all printing tasks, even if the Booth.Events app on the Mac is running in the background.
This ensures seamless and uninterrupted operation, ideal for unattended or automated event setups.
โ Best for long events, unattended booths, or kiosk-style activations.
