Change the Language of Booth.Events

The Booth.Events app automatically uses your iPad or iPhone's language setting.

To change the device language:

  1. Open the Settings app

  2. Tap General

  3. Tap Language & Region

  4. Tap Add Language if your desired language isn't listed

  5. Drag your preferred language to the top of the list

  6. Your device will restart in the new language

The app will now display all text in that language—no additional app settings required.

Customizing Guest-Facing Text

How to Customize Text

  1. Open the Booth.Events app on your iPad

  2. On the start screen, tap the Language button

  1. A customization screen opens showing all editable text strings

  2. Tap any text field to enter your preferred wording

What You Can Include

  • Custom branding phrases

  • Emojis 🎉

  • Any language or keyboard characters available on iOS

Placeholders

Some text strings contain placeholders that insert dynamic values. You must keep these placeholders in your custom text.

Placeholder

What It Becomes

Example

%@

Text (like a phone number)

485-123-4567

%d

A number

3

Example:

Text

✅ Valid

"Sending your photo to %@ now!"

❌ Invalid

"Sending your photo now!"

The second example is invalid because the %@ placeholder is missing. If you remove a required placeholder, the app won't save your custom text.

Tips

  • Preview your event after making changes to ensure the text displays correctly

  • If custom text is too long, it may be cut off on screen—keep it concise

  • Changes take effect immediately once saved
